L'Associazione Ligure di Meteorologia (LIMET) costituitasi nell'agosto del 2007 affonda le sue radici a quasi sei anni prima quando, un ristretto numero di semplici appassionati dei fenomeni atmosferici si ritrovò quasi per caso in un sito amatoriale genovese, arricchito e impreziosito da un forum che ben presto calamitò l'attenzione di un numero sempre più crescente di meteo-appassionati, quasi imbarazzati e increduli nel trovare tanta gente animata da quella stessa passione ai tanti, forse troppi, incomprensibile.
