Alla confluenza dell'Aveto col fiume Bozale si trova Cabanne, importantissimo centro che si sviluppò dopo che i monaci di Villa Cella prosciugarono la piana omonima effettuando uno sbancamento presso le Rocche del Masapello, più o meno ove si trova la pietra della "balena". Tutto intorno alla chiesa vi sono case di notevole valore artistico che rappresentano l'antico borgo dei signori Della Cella.
