Nella sua lunga storia la nostra banda ha effettuato numerosissime trasferte in località più o meno vicine, in occasione di sagre, feste patronali, ricorrenze religiose e civili. In its long history of our band has made numerous trips at more or less close, at fairs, festivals, religious and civil.
Tra queste, le spedizioni a Gambaro hanno sempre avuto qualche motivo per essere ricordate. Among these, shipments to Gambaro have always had some reason to be remembered.

La prima volta la banda vi si recò negli anni '40; la località a quei tempi rivestiva una notevole importanza essendo punto di transito e di sosta per i numerosi mulattieri che trasportavano vari prodotti dell'agricoltura tra il piacentino e il genovesato. C'è un punto, prima delle Mogliazze, in cui la strada si biforca: sulla sinistra, stretta tra i cespugli, si intravvede confusamente la strada per Santo Stefano, mentre sulla destra, grande, invitante e ben battuta dal bestiame avanza sicura la strada che porta ai pascoli del Cantone e del Carevolo.
